Week 9: My $0.39 Shopping Trip in Albertson’s
Last Monday- June 29, I visited Albertson’s after I dropped my daughter Yoanna in her summer class. That day I’m excited because I knew I’ll be getting my biggest grocery savings since I subscribed with Coupon Sense. On that day also, I’ll be using my reusable grocery bags which is also a deduction on the grocery bills. Think green & at the same time, get additional deduction.
This shopping trip still cover’s the Mix & Match Promo & also the double-triple-quadruple coupons. Coupons in $0.50 will be doubled to $1.0o. The $0.33 will be times 3 to make it $1.00 & the $0.25 will be times 4 to make it $1.00. Walgreen’s Register Rewards were great help for this trip. I was able to collect a lot of it since they had a good sale in Dove items, Kotex Sanitary Pads & Aquafresh toothpaste. All these items have corresponding Register Rewards when I purchased them in Walgreen’s last week.
Here’s my shopping plan (without inclusion of tax);

Get help from “Rain-Checks”
It’s been 2 weeks now that both Albertson’s & Fry’s are driving shoppers crazy to decide where to shop.
Then when you’re finally decided on what store to visit & done on completing your shopping list, you’ll feel disappointed when finding out that some of the items your about to purchase are out-of-stocks already. Truly disappointing!
When this thing happens, don’t go out on that store without consulting the Customer Service section. They could possibly help you out on those missing items and still get them on the deal you’re expecting. That’s what they called “rain checks”.
Rain Checks is that great way to take advantage of the deal even if the store shelves are already empty. When getting a rain check in the check-out counter, put it with your coupons. The next time you go shopping the shelves are already refilled & you can still take advantage of the deal.

Love Safeway’s Self Check-Out
Yesterday, I had a shopping trip to Safeway before heading to Yoanna’s Summer Class. Since it’s along the way in Yoanna’s school, might as well leave the house a little bit earlier & grab those FREE items!

Albertson’s Accepts Competitors’ Coupons
Albertson’s is the only grocery store (so far) that accepts competitors’ coupons. Event though they don’t turn $0.75(& below) into $1.00 which other stores (Safeway, Fry’s & Basha’s) do every day, but still honoring competitors’ coupons can give you great deals.
